Private: Shorecrest vs Edmonds-Woodway

What a fantastic game!

By Jake Goldstein-Street

Shorecrest came out of this game against the Warriors of Edmonds Woodway with an unexpected victory. An all-around passing game kept Edmonds Woodway on their toes and allowed Shorecrest to find open receivers. Six different players caught passes from either Eladio Fountain or John Stephenson. In one of his greatest games of the Shoreline 7 on 7 Series, Fountain completed 12 of his 15 pass attempts for three touchdowns and two early interceptions. Stephenson threw 6 passes, three of which were completed for 39 yards and one interception. Antonio Stillwell was the standout receiver for the Highlanders in this game, catching seven passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Hassan had three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. Cyris Filoteo caught two of the first three completions of the game for 9 yards. Anthony Higgins caught one pass for 17 yards on offense and had an interception in the middle of the game on defense. #11 and #5 each had one reception for 10 and 7 yards, respectively.

Edmonds Woodway played great on the defensive side of the ball, but couldn’t get their offense kickstarted until the end of the game. #3 had a stellar performance in this outing, catching four passes for 44 yards, a TD, and two interceptions. The Warriors had no trouble completing passes, but they had no presence down the field. Their quarterback, #17, completed 11 of his 14 pass attempts for 86 yards, one TD and one INT. #4 and #5 each caught two balls for 10 and 7 yards, respectively. #11, also, caught two passes for 22 yards and had an interception on defense. Finally, #18 had one reception for three yards. Edmonds Woodway started off the game with an interception, but after that they had no response for the high-powered offense of the Shorecrest Highlanders.
