In their first competitive game of the day (first two were forfeited), Marsyville Getchell shined in this match up between the two schools with the worst records in the Shoreline 7 on 7 Series. Their quarterbacking duo could not be stooped. In total, they completed 18 of their 24 pass attempts for 209 yards, one of the highest marks by any team on Day 4. They threw five touchdowns. The first TD was followed by a successful two-point conversion. The key to the Chargers’ explosive offense was big plays. Just 5 of the team’s 18 completions were for less than 10 yards.
On the other side, Cascade had no trouble passing the ball, but their defense lacked the speed necessary to thwart Marysville Getchell’s long throws. Their quarterback completed 14 passes on 20 attempts for 168 yards. Six different receivers played a role in this loss for Cascade. Sean Sibley caught three passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. CJ Wade had three receptions for 51 yards, a team high for the game. #53 caught three balls for 28 yards and the final touchdown of the game. Junior Duc had three receptions for 26 yards. Jacob Bauer and Taylor H each caught one pass for 10 and 3 yards, respectively.
