Shorewood was able to win this war of attrition thanks to an all around effort from the team. Five different receivers caught passes from #10, who completed 8 throws on 18 attempts for 72 yards. #17 caught three receptions for 37 yards, a game high. #23 had two catches for 10 yards and an interception. #8, #24, and #83 each had one catch for 5, 10, and 10 yards, respectively. #22 arguably made the most important play of the game for the Thunderbirds with the game-winning interception.
Meanwhile, Cascade’s quarterback had trouble getting anything going down the field throughout the game, except one 27 yard completion to Caymyn Coleman. In total, the QB went 9 of 21 for 61 yards. Junior Duc caught three passes for 11 yards. He also had the only scoring play for Cascade in this game, an early interception. Jacob Bauer brought down two receptions for 13 yards. Josh Velhagen caught two early passes but they only totaled three yards.
