In a game that started as a battle of interceptions, Mariner came out victorious because of their ability to create big plays in important moments. Their quarterback completed 10 of his 15 pass attempts for 112 yards. He threw two touchdowns and one interception. A forty-yard touchdown pass in the late stages of the game lifted the Marauders to a victory.
Meanwhile, Cascade completed a lot of short passes but couldn’t get the big plays needed to win these games. Their quarterback went 10 of 18 for 109 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Both CJ Wade and Junior Duc caught three passes. The former created 40 yards of offense, while the latter created 27. Caymyn Coleman received one pass for six yards. Massai Moore scored the only touchdown for the Bruins on a two yard pass. Sean Sibley was the only other player to score points for Cascade with an interception on Mariner’s first pass attempt. Finally, Jacob Bauer caught one pass for 32 yards.
